25 paź 2019 · Replacing the Acera rear derailleur with the RD-M591 is possible. Despite being marketed as a "9-speed" rear derailleur (the 9 referring to the number gears/sprockets/cogs--all mean the same thing--that make up your rear cassette), the M591 will work.
8 paź 2016 · Being an inveterate tinkerer, however, I'm starting to look at upgrades. I've already changed to Shimamo A530 pedals which I find a major improvement over the flats supplied a standard. I'm now looking at whether there is anything to be gained by upgrading the rear derailleur.

15 lis 2020 · It has the Acera 3x8 gearing with cable disc brakes and tbh is pretty reasonable for town trips. I also picked up a frame damage FX3 as the most cost effective way of getting spare rims for more rugged tyres, which came with the Alivio system and hydraulic disc brakes.
