Tool to decrypt/encrypt with Caesar cipher (or Caesar code), a shift cipher, one of the most easy and most famous encryption systems, that uses the substitution of a letter by another one further in the alphabet.
The shift cipher encryption uses an alphabet and a key (made up of one or more values) that shifts the position of its letters. A letter in position N N in the alphabet, can be shifted by X X into the letter located at position N +X N + X (This is equivalent to using a substitution with a shifted alphabet).
It is a simple substitution cipher, where each letter corresponds to another letter a certain number of positions forward or backward in the alphabet. For example, a shift right of 5 would encode the word Caesar as “hfjxfw”.
A transposition cipher is a method of encoding and decoding a string where letters are shifted a set number of places in the alphabet. For example, in the famous Caesar Cipher all letters are shifted 3 to the right to encode and 3 to the left to decode.
