*Solution* Try different key combo such as: Ctrl key on the left side along with the Shift key on right side with the C key all together. This should work in both Sims 3 and 4. This is not really a bug, but a issue that players run into. In the post linked below, you can find some tips on how to fix the problem.
30 lip 2023 · Resolved! The cause is that my graphics board is a Radeon. ctrl+shift+c was registered as a shortcut to switch the camera on and off. AMD Software -> Settings -> Hotkeys -> Recording Hotkeys -> Camera Switching -> Delete. to successfully start the cheat console.
Just read elsewhere that a screenshot program called skitch is causing issues and as soon as it is uninstalled the cheat console starts working again. I am guessing that a program on your pc is utilizing that string for its own shortcut and is conflicting with the sims 4.
3 wrz 2014 · If they don't press ESC (Opens the Ingame Menu) and then return to the game, and try CTRL+Shift+C again and the 1-2-3-0 keys too. If nothing works, try going to Origin, Open My Games tab, Right click The Sims 4 and click Repair Game.

I got a new computer (ibuypower) and installed sims 4, now the cheat menu doesn't come up when I try to get it up. I also downloaded the most recent version of MCCC but never had any issues prior to moving computers.
Another combo to try: Ctrl+Shift+Alt / Ctrl+Alt+Shift+C / Press Ctrl+Shift together and while still holding down those two keys, press C. This should bring up the Cheat Console. For those with MSI Laptops try this key combo: Control + Shift + WindowsButton + C to open the cheat console with ease.
