Tuk (तुक) is the rhyme of a poem. In tukant poems, all rhyming lines must end at the same sound (or a letter, a word or even a phrase). In addition, the rhyming lines must approach the last sound with identical ascent or descent.

A poem is composed of repeating units that each typically include a sthaayee, antara, and samaapti. The lines within a unit must follow the same meter (laya) and rhyme (gat). While there are rigorous structural guidelines, Hindi poetry also allows for flexibility in form.
Rhyme scheme is the pattern of rhyme that comes at the end of each verse or line in poetry. In other words, it is the structure of end words of a verse or line that a poet needs to create when writing a poem .
