Should the above be corrected to: PCIe v3.0 x16 (8.0 GT/s) @ x16 (2.5 GT/s)? Examples: PCI-E v3.0 is capable 8GT/S or 16 GB/S (on 16 lanes) PCI-E v 2.0 is capable 5GT/S or 8GB/S.
Your PCIe bus may support, e.g., 8 GT/s. What does that mean? Transfer speeds are usually specified in Gbit/s, Gbps, or Gigabits per second, but GT/s stands for Gigatransfers per second.
