11 cze 2021 · I play Minecraft on java edition and I decided to create a server. I'm going to multiple youtube videos and tutorials on the internet and nothings helping. here's the problem: when I install server.jar it won't let me open it. I attached an image of what it comes up with.
26 Answers. Sorted by: 155. Easiest route is probably upgrading or re-installing the Java Runtime Environment (JRE). Or this: Open the Windows Explorer, from the Tools select 'Folder Options...' Click the File Types tab, scroll down and select JAR File type. Press the Advanced button.

I triend to set up my local minecraft server, after downloading and creating a folder for my server.jar, I clicked on it but it just closed and didnt do anything. 1.Checked if java is up to date. 2.Created EULA.txt and writing "eula=true".
