when i try to use the server on my laptop, when running server.jar i get "a java exception has occured" popup, despite having the same java version on both pcs, java 8, and it works on my desktop, how do i fix this ?
3 maj 2020 · It suggests, that the server is distributed in an exe file format, while it is usually a file named server.jar; It saves the start script with the vbs extension instead of bat. The correct way. Obtain the server executable from the official site. Note: This guide assumes, that the downloaded file is called server.jar. If not, you should rename it.

23 maj 2021 · When I click Open with JavaLauncher, it makes its little opening animation, but nothing happens after. When I go into the terminal and try to follow instructions that way, it says that there is no file with the name server.jar, but that is what it is named!
28 sty 2021 · Solved. Hey guys I've been trying to setup a minecraft server, but I can't run the server file. I checked my java version and that is all in order. When executing the commad i get: Error: Unable to access jarfile minecraft_server.1.16.5.jar. Anyone knows how to fix this? Thanks.
