11 cze 2021 · I play Minecraft on java edition and I decided to create a server. I'm going to multiple youtube videos and tutorials on the internet and nothings helping. here's the problem: when I install server.jar it won't let me open it. I attached an image of what it comes up with.
Apparently, Java Version 8 (the one you linked to) won't work. The person in the video used JDK 16, but I downloaded JDK 20 and it seems to work well. You can download it here https://www.oracle.com/java/technologies/downloads/#jdk20-windows
30 lip 2022 · This error occurs because you do not have server.jar in your folder. Could you check the file name again?
19 lip 2024 · The java command you are running is looking for a file named minecraft_server.1.12.jar. When you look at your file explorer the only files possible for it to even find are run.bat and server.jar (Based on the original screenshot).
Reason 1: You uploaded a custom .jar and the server is not reading it. It can be that the .jar file itself is corrupted and might require re-uploading. Reason 2: The .jar file was not uploaded into the correct directory.
8 lip 2022 · I installed forge directly but it showed "Downloading minecraft server failed, invalid checksum. Try again, or manually place server jar to skip download". So I downloaded server.jar manually and tried it again, then it said "Failed to download version manifest, can not find server jar URL.".
3 maj 2020 · Obtain the server executable from the official site. Note: This guide assumes, that the downloaded file is called server.jar. If not, you should rename it. Type the following text into a notepad, and save it as start.bat in the same folder as your server executable jar-file.
