Posts: 1. i have a 1.19.4 server that i host from my pc. when i try to use the server on my laptop, when running server.jar i get "a java exception has occured" popup, despite having the same java version on both pcs, java 8, and it works on my desktop, how do i fix this ?
12 mar 2023 · If you already have CraftBukkit successfully installed, installing Spigot is usually as simple as replacing your server JAR with the new one. Also, to avoid malicious or old Spigot that opens a large vulnerability for a Minecraft server, you should NOT download any Spigot jar files found on Internet.
Apparently, Java Version 8 (the one you linked to) won't work. The person in the video used JDK 16, but I downloaded JDK 20 and it seems to work well. You can download it here https://www.oracle.com/java/technologies/downloads/#jdk20-windows
4 sty 2021 · Thankfully, it's something that's really easy to figure out and fix! This can be caused most often by one of two scenarios: Either the jar file is missing, or the jar file has a different name in the File Manager than what is set in your panel on the Java Settings page.
Load up a local server, pull all your plugins and add the new server jar in and see which plugins break. Then update them 1 by 1 until you see which plugins don't work in .4 yet. Downgrading servers is never recommended, so always test before hand just in case.
25 maj 2023 · Uninstall any version of Java that's currently installed then restart your computer. Download and install a fresh copy of Java 17, then try running your server again.
14 lip 2023 · Follow these steps to update your Minecraft server: Go to “ /Minecraft/Servers/ ” folder on your PC. Copy and save the “ Minecraft Server ” folder as a backup in another folder just in case. Find and delete the old “ server.jar ” file from the old “ Minecraft Server ” folder.
