I was able to access the site locally using localhost but not on another machine using the IP address. To solve the issue I had to add a firewall inbound rule to allow the port. Share
18 lut 2021 · As one user said, the public IP address your router reports is not a public address in the common sense of the term at all. Traffic from outside your ISP's network will not reach the address. The address "appears" to work because you are attempting to access it from inside the ISP's network.

I have an application hosted on a virtual machine on local network. I m using virtual box and this machine has Ip from range 192.168.56.X. I added entry into hosts file: my-ip : my-site. problem: edge won't access that page at all: "Can't reach this page" message
