3 cze 2014 · This video discusses the way that volume can be read on a serological pipette, how a pipet aid works, and many different applications for using a serological pipette.
Serological pipets are volumetric tools designed for the accurate transfer of liquids in the milliliter range. They are usually calibrated with deionized water 'to deliver' (TD, Ex) with an accuracy of ±2 % at 20 °C; this cannot be improved on, even with perfect liquid handling practices.
This International Standard specifies requirements for disposable glass serological pipettes adjusted to deliver — including blow-out pipettes — suitable for general laboratory purposes. The details specified are in conformity with ISO 8417.
31 maj 2012 · Serological pipettes used for aseptic transfer of liquids. (A) Shown from left to right are drawings of 25 ml, 10 ml, and 5 ml pipettes. (B) Serological pipettes may be plastic or glass.
Measuring pipets, such as a Mohr or a serological pipet, are calibrated in convenient units to allow delivery of volumes up to the maximum capac-ity of the pipet. Push-button pipets can be variable or fixed volume pipets and are dealt with separately below. Method of Drainage The method of drainage of a measur-ing pipet is easily determined by com-
Serological pipettes are essential tools used in laboratories for transferring liquids. These pipettes are marked with graduations along the side, allowing precise measurement of the liquid being dispensed or aspirated, up to 50ml.
Serological pipets are incredibly useful for dispensing precise volumes of media and other solutions in laboratory applications. These pipets can also be ideal for diluting samples and preparation for analytical applications.
