11 paź 2024 · The Parable of the Unjust Steward can be found in Luke 16:1–13. The text can be broken down into two parts: the parable (verses 1–8) and the application (verses 9–13). Luke 16:1 identifies that Jesus is speaking to His disciples, but there is a suggestion that His audience is mixed—disciples and Pharisees.
• The manager gets into trouble for squandering the rich man’s property (16:1-13). • The rich man will suffer eternal torment, because he enjoyed riches selfishly without helping Lazarus who was suffering at his doorstep (16:19-31).

3 lip 2014 · I. The Assertion of the Parable. There are essentially three stages to this parable, each centering on the steward. I have called them 1) the steward’s predicament, 2) the steward’s plan, and 3) the steward’s prudence. 1. The Steward’s Predicament. The steward’s predicament is seen in verses 1-2.
“The parable has embarrassed Christians for centuries. Clearly, the parable embarrassed Luke, for he keeps adding verses – 8b, 9, 10-12 – trying to find an acceptable moral for the story. How could Jesus tell the story of a crook and, what’s more, seem to approve of the crook’s behavior?” (p. 210)
1. (Luke 16:1-8) What the dishonest steward did. He also said to His disciples: “There was a certain rich man who had a steward, and an accusation was brought to him that this man was wasting his goods.
