If I use auto-gain for recording, will it potentially “squash” the dynamics of the tracks, or lower the quality? 2: I’m trying to figure out which volume knob to prioritize to ensure the songs don’t clip or distort. 7. 26 lut 2010 · I didn't really know there was am auto gain. What I do is turn any track down that is in the red (these days that's about every track out there)... I turn it just bellow redline. Serato starts to distort when it's in the red. Once you've turned down the gain, it saves the information so you dont have to do it anymore. Does anyone use/do this ?
