20 maj 2024 · Seedlang is a funny, affordable, and effective resource for German learners. It focuses on speaking practice, grammar, and vocabulary, accompanying every word and sentence with a video of a german speaker. Seedlang encourages you to record your voice while both mimicking pronunciation and the movement of the speaker’s mouth.
Seedlang does it better than Memrise, but it’s for German only. The other advantage is that Seedlang injects humor and has a more linear learning track - it’s a properly-designed course (A1 - B2 levels). There are also games and quizzes built in. Overall, a great German resource (but not without alternative resources and online courses).
I have just tried Seedlang, to see the least I'm very impressed. Its very good and unlike Duolingo it actually gives you important things like grammer and flash cards with training in a fun way. There are competitions and stories, with native pronunciation.
3 kwi 2022 · Seedlang has videos for thousands of sentences and words with real native speakers. That’s much better than computer generated speech, no matter how well the generated speech is. And you can see the face and the mouth moving.
Hey, I'm wondering a few things about Seedlang, e.g. It often asks you to rate a deck. What is this for? I find it very odd to 'rate' words. What is the scale? Does it influence what the app shows me and thus influence my learning or is it feedback to the developer? Should I 'review' every word I get wrong?
7 lut 2024 · Seedlang focuses on improving your German speaking and listening skills. It teaches you through step-by-step “video clip flashcards.” These feature native speakers saying a sentence out loud, with optional translations.
