Secondary School Certificate (SSC), Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) or Matriculation examination, is a public examination in Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Nepal and Maldives conducted by educational boards for the successful completion of the secondary education exam in these countries.
The Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC), also known as Intermediate, is a public examination taken by students at Higher Secondary School or Intermediate college (Junior college) in Pakistan. After finishing Matriculation in Grade 9 and 10, the students then enter an intermediate college and complete grades 11 and 12.
Grading system. In Bangladesh, grades equal or above 33% (or one third) is considered as a passing grade. Since the education system of Bangladesh is completely controlled by the government up to higher secondary level (or grade 12), the grading system up to this point is more or less the same.
