Welcome to the Oswego Robotics Lego League! Started in the 2019 season we currently have 4 teams and about 40 students participating in our program. Our participants range from grades 6 through 8 and come together from all 5 Junior High Schools.
6 sie 2020 · Coop Bot. This is a modular base robot built with elements in one SPIKE Prime Core Set (45678) plus parts from the expansion set (45681). A sample universal attachment design is available as part of the instructions.
Using a four output, distribution transmission, I've designed a compact but competitive robot for First Lego League that can drive 4 powered attachments using just 2 motors. This is a very compact bot that is challenging to build.
Review the missions and get familiar with them - you probably won't end up doing them all. Build and program a robot to complete as many of the missions as you can in 2.5 minutes. If you're a new team, you can follow instructions for building a basic robot rather than design your own.

Whatever kit you have I would recommend having at least 4 motors and two light sensors. You will likely want more technic parts than come in the spike prime kit and expansion. I'd highly recommend going in andymark and buying all of the old mission model kits.
The Gear It Up program is designed to teach about all areas of FIRST and involves building a real robot from scratch. Students will learn about mechanical construction, electrical work, coding, team work, and the pillars of FIRST.
