17 lut 2018 · I've tried using all renders (with vsync on and off). Using vsync option automatically gives me screen tearing 100% of the time (Which is odd because vsync prevents screen tearing). If I don't use vsync sometimes my game has no screen tear.
Here's a great and detailed post explaining the cause of screen tearing. How you would fix it on your PS3 and TV, however, I'm not really sure. It might be because your TV has a lower than standard refresh rate, even though I'm not even sure what the standard refresh rate for TVs is.
These are the things I have tried: Changing the "Exclusive Fullscreen" setting. Changing the refresh rate of my display. Changing the renderer. Changing the refresh rate settings in the Nvidia's control panel and windows display settings. Turning on VSync in RPCS3's settings and forcing VSync in Nvidia's control panel.
I was given a PS3 with a bunch of fantastic games (RDR, Assassin's Creed series, Sleeping Dogs, Far Cry series, various LEGO etc) but I get terrible screen tearing when I play. Are there any monitors or TVs where this doesn't happen, or any other way to eliminate?

Is like allowing the PS3 to send the HDMI video signal directly to the panel (bypassing the video procesing circuits of the TV board)... so there is less "lag" because HDMI data is ...
4 paź 2021 · Update: Turning Vsync ON does not fix the mipmapping issues but it does resolve a lot of screen tearing which is surprising since my hardware was not limiting FPS but wow the difference is huge. Hi, just to say that I used the latest rpcs3 version and there is still the mipmapping issue...
