17 lut 2018 · I've tried using all renders (with vsync on and off). Using vsync option automatically gives me screen tearing 100% of the time (Which is odd because vsync prevents screen tearing). If I don't use vsync sometimes my game has no screen tear.
I was given a PS3 with a bunch of fantastic games (RDR, Assassin's Creed series, Sleeping Dogs, Far Cry series, various LEGO etc) but I get terrible screen tearing when I play. Are there any monitors or TVs where this doesn't happen, or any other way to eliminate?
Here's a great and detailed post explaining the cause of screen tearing. How you would fix it on your PS3 and TV, however, I'm not really sure. It might be because your TV has a lower than standard refresh rate, even though I'm not even sure what the standard refresh rate for TVs is.
Use an SSD. As soon as I changed to SSD from HDD, no more screen tearing. Rendering is nearly instantaneous. (Rage 1 is a good example)
4 lut 2022 · If you’re running a PS3 or Xbox 360 via component cables into the TINK, try setting it to 720p and seeing how the smoothing filter works! It’ll all depend on your total solution (game graphics, TV, what your eyes prefer), but this might be a big upgrade in some scenarios.

Is like allowing the PS3 to send the HDMI video signal directly to the panel (bypassing the video procesing circuits of the TV board)... so there is less "lag" because HDMI data is ...
11 kwi 2008 · If your game is going to run at 30fps 90% of the time and 25-29fps 10%, vsynch-off is the accepted way of handling the drop, otherwise you may not get tearing but 20fps (or less) games (See Mass Effect). I would personally rather put of with tearing over low frame rates that make games unplayable.
