The annual Scouting for Food drive is a council-wide service project to instill the value of service into our Scouts and help the community. Requirements. The patch cannot contain more than seven colors. The patch must contain the following: “Michigan Crossroads Council” (or “MCC”) “SCOUTING FOR FOOD”. “2024”. Fleur de lis. The patch must fit in a 3″ circle or 3″ square. It can be a different shape, but must fit in the circle/square.
Scouting For Food is a traditional service project that provides needed resources to our area food banks. Scouts canvas the neighborhoods, knocking on doors and collecting food that will be distributed directly to local food pantries within your community.
All units that participate in Scouting for Food and submit their totals to the council by Wednesday, February 21 st will be awarded with the 2024 Scouting for Food ribbon. Use this form to submit the results from your Scouting for Food collection efforts.
Youth and adults will receive a Scouting for Food participation patch and “2024” metal-pin. Collect a new metal-pin each year you participate in the program.
2024 PATCH DESIGN CONTEST Open to all registered Scouts in all Michigan Crossroads Council (MCC) Packs, Troops, Ships, Crews and Posts.
