The School Lunch Association is a registered charity whose mission is to operate a non stigmatizing program that provides a hot, nutritious lunch for school children, regardless of a families’ financial situation. The program serves over 6,700 meals each day, in 43 schools across Newfoundland.
In the next few years, the provincial government is expanding the school meal program to reach every Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 9 student. Right now, our school meal services are a patchwork.
