Staff are trained in Asthma First Aid (see overleaf). Please write down anything different this student might need if they have an asthma attack: Does this student usually tell an adult if s/he is having trouble breathing? Does this student need help to take asthma medication? Does this student use a mask with a spacer?

School Staff: Follow the Yellow and Red Zone plans for rescue medicines according to asthma symptoms. Unless otherwise noted, the only controllers to be administered in school are those listed as “given in school” in the green zone.

Asthma Action Plans also tell schools, early childhood education centers, and other caregivers about your child’s asthma. This could include teachers, school nurses, and after school care staff. Work with your health care provider to create a plan for your child.
