7 mar 2019 · To complete the SC handicap placard renewal process, you will be required to submit the same application form that is used for the issuance of first-time permits. The methods available to renew a disabled person parking placard are also the same as those that apply when getting your first permit.
To obtain a disability tag in SC, you must complete the disability placard and License Plate Application (Form RG-007A) and provide a medical certification from a licensed physician. The application must be submitted either by mail or in person at a South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles office, along with the applicable fees.
The organization must submit a completed RG-007B Organization Disabled Placard and License Plate Application. The fee is $1.00 per placard and is limited to the number of registered vehicles.
