So after finishing "The College Years" I decided to watch New Class for the first time. I wanted to know for myself exactly what happened with this show. I also read Peter Engel's memoir and researched quite a lot of articles online to get a better idea about casting decisions and such.
I always had a soft spot for the new class since I watched it in real time as it aired. But it was so insane I almost look at it as an alternate reality timeline from the original class. Screech and Belding were basically the two stooges throughout the run. Any other new class fans on here?

In my opinion, your best bet is to watch seasons 4-6 first. That's the most stable cast. At the very least, don't start with season 1, as the main "Zack-type" character is an atrocious actor.
