SAS and Portal Overview In this topic, you will identify the six elements of a Standards Aligned System and their intent. You will also investigate how the elements of a Standards Aligned System can improve student achievement.

After completing this unit you will be able to: Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the intent of the Standards Aligned System (SAS). Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the features and navigation of the SAS Portal Home Page.
SAS Overview - Using SAS Effectively. In this 5-hour module, participants will explore various components of PDE’s Standards Aligned System (SAS), how to utilize newer resources added to the SAS Portal, and how to effectively integrate these resources into their classroom to promote student achievement.
Details of the Observation and Practice Framework can be found on PDE’s Standards Aligned System web portal, as well as through online professional learning opportunities on the SAS web portal that are aligned to the domains and components of the Observation and Practice Framework.
This module allows you to engage, using a hands-on approach, with the SAS Portal’s Teacher Tools including My Profile, My ePortfolio, My Website, Publish Your Best, My Communities, Curriculum Mapping, and the PD Center.
