7 lis 2022 · You need to look for a bolt 0.312-18x1.12 (5/16-18-1,12) and 0.312-18x1.75 (5/16-18x1,75) Or just buy any 2inch (cca51mm) bolt with proper 5/16-18 thread and cut to length. Not a big deal
31 gru 2017 · I removed a water pump from a 2005 Taurus with a 3.0 OHV Vulcan V-6. There are basically 6 bolts that used a 10 mm wrench and 6 that used a 8 mm wrench. To my surprise the 10 mm ones had some dried out red material that looked like " Loctite ".
29 lip 2013 · The prices are very reasonable, less the $10 for the water pump kit without the studs. The studs are a Motormite item available at your local Advance Discount auto Parts store. Motormite Water Pump Stud Kits for Ford, Lincoln and Mercury cars and trucks w/3.8L, 4.6L, 5.0L, 5.8L.
26 sie 2009 · Bolt is 3/8 coarse thread. It should thread 1/2" to 5/8" into the block. More is ok, make sure it does not bottom out. Washers are not necessary. Use grade 5 bolts.
The charts below show the ideal tightening torque for each bolt grade for a variety of sizes. The size column also includes the thread count. Identify the grade, size, and thread density of your bolts and refer to the tightening torque columns.
