26 maj 2022 · Crossing water with land units in Old World requires naval ships to act as transports and a short enough crossing to make the journey. Getting armies to distant shores in Old World isn't quite as simple as in other 4X games.
When you anchor a boat (starting the turn after you issue the anchor command), it effectively turns an area of water into terrain your land units can cross with one order. For example, all the water tiles this Axeman is crossing are either in my own borders or controlled by the anchored Bireme, so it's allowed to cross to the other land mass.
17 maj 2022 · First, you need to research Biremes and then build one. Then you need to anchor the bireme and you'll see a large hex outline appear on the map displaying the transport range of the ship, usually 3 hexes from the bireme's position*.

You need to wait to next year after hitting the anchor button then you grab your units and press on the opposite shore, not the ship or water. 3. Reply.
Think about what you need. Don't just blindly build improvements -- they take gold upkeep, called maintenance in the game (-2 gold per improvement). If you have +200 food a turn, you probably don't need another farm if you're also at +5 stone a turn.

15 sty 2021 · From a game perspective, you do not need the launcher/store active to run Old World. Just make a shortcut to the exe file. The game does use Epic online services for MP matchmaking, cloud saving and achievements, but that's nothing to do with the launcher/store.
