I think San Mateo Prime and Broadway Prime taste pretty much the same, including sides. Their creamed spinach is really weird - like cream cheese goop with spinach, and both places taste the same. The baked potato at San Mateo Prime slightly edged out Broadway's because it came nice and hot.
It's a large restaurant and feels contemporary. Broadway Prime has an old school steakhouse vibe, and worn in - in a good way, like a neighborhood mainstay. The “Prime” restaurants - Millbrae, Broadway are owned by the same family, or at least similar types. Former waiters at House of Prime Rib. So they know the recipes, etc.
