Garth Goodell began his career with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department in 1993 as a reserve deputy sheriff. He was hired full time in 1995 and attended the 120 th session of the Sheriff’s Basic Academy. Garth’s law enforcement career began with his first custody assignment at West Valley Detention Center.
