21 maj 2020 · In new account I've just created, either when inserted or ejected for both, will successfully bring out notifiation "what to do with drive" or "safe to remove" and audio tone. From notification settings, i found out it from sender "auto play" (last time it was from "windows explorer")

To check the policy: Right-click the device in File Explorer, select Properties, select the correct device in the hardware tab and select Properties again, on the General tab click on Change settings, go to the Policies tab.

27 maj 2018 · I am using Windows 10 Pro version and I do not get a Safely to Remove hardware notification - visual or sound. If I have multiple flash drives attached, after the first attempt to safely remove a drive the "flash drive: icon is no longer active.
22 lip 2022 · Hi folks. Is there some setting that needs to be (re)-set to enable the message when you eject a USB device via the applet "Safe to remove this device" to appear again. Now no message so you have to check manually whether the device has been disconnected properly.
