21 maj 2020 · I checked that when you go through the icon " Safely remove hardware and eject media", the program does make it safe to remove as if you check back through the icon again the USB drive has gone. What i have done so far:

31 sie 2015 · ISSUE: Upon inserting a USB thumb drive I did not get the notification that normally appears. And after using the 'Safely Remove Hardware…' icon to eject the thumb drive I did not get a notification saying that it was OK (or not) to remove the device. SOLUTION: r-click Action center icon on taskbar and turn off Quiet Hours. That's it.

16 cze 2020 · When I go to taskbar, push the thumb drive icon to eject the drive, I do not receive the "Safe to Remove" message. How can I re-enable that notification? Windows 10 Home, x64, Version 2004

To check the policy: Right-click the device in File Explorer, select Properties, select the correct device in the hardware tab and select Properties again, on the General tab click on Change settings, go to the Policies tab.
