27 lip 2023 · To boot from a USB in UEFI mode on a Dell Inspiron, you need to prepare a bootable USB drive, access the BIOS, configure the BIOS settings to enable UEFI mode and secure boot, add a new boot option in the BIOS, and finally select the boot option you created to start the installation process.
I go to Temp Boot mode (F12) and try to boot from USB from there, but under UEFI the USB option throws that error. I've tried all 10 USB ports on the PC. The weird part is I got this to boot from USB and install while in Legacy mode without a problem.
19 maj 2019 · I encountered a similar problem where the F12 boot selection menu would not display the USB boot option. @SSi's solution worked for me. I powered down the PC, removed the USB drive, reinserted it and powered back on.
