26 kwi 2022 · Tried account recovery, safe mode boot, gmail password change via Safari access to google account. This happens on macosx monterey 12.3.1 and the same behaviour on my iPhone IOS 15.4.1. So google has no problem with me accessing gmail by web but refuses access for the mail app on the same device.

12 kwi 2021 · It appears that this problem occurs on Safari and users who are using the other browsers (e.g., Chrome, Edge, etc) do not experience this problem. Furthermore, it appears that users cannot automatically sign in to the Google Account in Safari when signed in to the Mail app or Google app.
