26 lis 2023 · Sacral fractures are common pelvic ring injuries that are under-diagnosed and often associated with neurologic compromise. Diagnosis can made with pelvis radiographs but frequently require pelvic CT scan for full characterization.
Key Points: Pediatric sacral fractures are rare injuries and are usually caused by high energy trauma. Advanced imaging should be obtained if there is any concern, based on history and physical exam findings, as these injuries may be missed with routine radiographs.
