10 wrz 2021 · During interphase, cell cycle progression is controlled before and after S phase. Commitment to enter a new cell cycle (that is, S phase entry) is made during a decision window preceding S phase.

10 lis 2023 · In the commonly accepted paradigm for control of the mammalian cell cycle, sequential cyclin-dependent kinase (CDK) and cyclin activities drive the orderly transition from G1 to S phase. However, recent studies using different technological approaches and examining a broad range of cancer cell types are challenging this established paradigm.
1 lis 2023 · If the cell passes the G1 checkpoint, it will proceed with the cell cycle and enter the S phase, where it will begin DNA replication. If the cell fails the G1 checkpoint, it will enter a state of quiescence, or growth arrest, until the necessary conditions for cell growth and division are met.
1 mar 2024 · Knowledge of cell cycle is crucial in understanding the basic mechanism of different systemic anticancer treatments. Cell cycle comprises four stages: G1, S, G2 and M phase. During G1 phase, enzymes necessary for DNA synthesis are produced. DNA synthesis takes place during S phase followed by G2 phase where RNA and protein synthesis will occur.
27 sty 2017 · Inhibition of CHK1 or WEE1 in cancer cells prevents cell cycle arrest during S or G2 phase and enables cell proliferation despite accumulation of DNA damage.
22 lip 2021 · Aberrancy in cell cycle progression is one of the fundamental mechanisms underlying tumorigenesis, making regulators of the cell cycle machinery rational anticancer therapeutic targets.
10 wrz 2021 · Cell cycle entry and progression. Before S phase, in the prereplicative G1 phase, there is a decision window dur-ing which cells can commit to initiate DNA replication and enter the cell...
