Rutgers University-Newark Writing Program: Essay Evaluation and Grading Criteria. The Writing Program grades holistically by evaluating the student’s essay as a whole, balancing its strengths and weaknesses, in order to arrive at an overall grade.
The Graduate Writing Program (GWP) supports graduate students from across the Rutgers community in their scholarly writing goals, from coursework papers to articles and dissertations. Based on expert research in composition studies, the GWP’s curriculum helps students master the genres and styles of academic writing.
Several resources are available to help students strengthen their professional and academic writing skills. Writing assistance is available to all MSW students as described below. New Brunswick campus | All MSW SSW students (NB, Camden, Newark, IW, online and blended) are eligible to access writing assistance at the New Brunswick Learning Center.
In our class, the median score for the first paper (personal essay) was a B+ and the average was an B so clearly it’s significantly easier. It also may just be my professor. We’re working on an argumentative essay now.
I have been writing, editing, drafting and re-drafting the essay for Rutgers Honors. I have atleast 6 different essays by now. I keep re-thinking the concept of "Educational Challenge", and am not sure waht they mean by it. Are there any Rutgers Honors students here who would like to help me out by explaining the meaning of what is being asked?
