2112 (pronounced "twenty-one twelve") is the fourth studio album by Canadian rock band Rush, released in March 1976 by Mercury Records. [8][9][10][11] It reached No. 5 in Canada and became the band's commercial breakthrough in the US, peaking at No. 61.
Hard prog rockers Rush released in 1976 perhaps their most famous album, '2112'. A strong narrative text is evident in the title track that rocks with moments of high complexity merged with the simplistic standard song format. '2112' begins with narration and a brilliant instrumental workout in 'Overture'.
