Baby black dragons are the young of adult black dragons and are the strongest baby dragons in Old School RuneScape. Unlike their adult form, they are too young to breathe flames, so no anti-dragon shield or other protection from dragonbreath is needed to fight them.

Black dragons can be assigned as a slayer task at level 80 combat by various Slayer masters after partial completion of Dragon Slayer I. Black dragons are the rarest of chromatic dragons and are generally located in areas very far from a bank.
In the Taverley Dungeon, 2 black dragons spawn north-west near the Obelisk of Fire and can be safe-spotted behind the ladder, while 12 spawn in the upper level along with 5 baby black dragons.

One baby black dragon can be found inside the Evil Chicken's Lair; it is reachable by using a rope on a hole towards the back of the cave (the rope will disappear after a few minutes). However, as there is only one spawn, it is not recommended to kill them there.

4 maj 2007 · Baby black dragon. Young but still dangerous. Melee. 70 Attack, 70 Defense, 70 Strength, 70 Hitpoints. Dragonfire Shield is not needed. Better off killing Baby Blue Dragons as the drops are the same and they are easier to slay.
