A good turntable with floating counterframe suspended (one top in golden color and the other bottom black) and balanced on the four feet. The arm is well made, although it looks like an all black carbon polymer toy.

A prime example is the PL-2 belt-drive turntable. For its price and performance, it beats any competitive model, belt or direct driven, hands downs. The belt-drive system of the PL-2 is an updated version that provides all the necessary torque and accurate speed control.
3 cze 2012 · Hi all, Found this lying around gathering dust in the garage. It's a Pioneer PL-120. From what i can tell it needs a new belt. I tried a quick google search and could find out much about this unit. Can anyone shed some light on the quality of this turntable? Cheers!
As one moves up the record player/turntable food chain, more of the build budget gets dedicated to improvements that affect audio quality either directly or indirectly. Most mass-market turntables are made by three OEM factories: Hanpin, Skywin, and Leetac.
The belt-drive on the PL-2 is an updated version that provides all the necessary torque and accurate speed control. A finely polished elastic belt is driven by a Pioneer DC motor. The motor assures smooth platter rotation, while the belt absorbs nearly all traces of vibration while powerfully transmitting motive power from the motor to the platter.
Surprisingly good considering the modest price tag and looks. I bought one very cheaply, only for the Ortofon VMS20E cartridge and stylus attached to it, and I wasn't expecting much of the turntable itself. But the cheap-and-cheerful-looking tonearm tracks the VMS with ease at 1.0g and sounds great.
