Rooms 2.0 is the next big leap in room creation within Rec Room. It includes a suite of features that optimize room capability and performance. From its launch in November 2023 to now, Rooms 2.0 has been a “Closed Alpha” where only a select number of creators received access and were able to give feedback.
Rooms 2.0 are an experimental version of Custom Rooms in Rec Room, which support many new features. (Rec Room provides a comparison with the original custom rooms.) See Rec Room's instructions on how to enable Rooms 2.0.

13 maj 2024 · Rooms 2.0. The Replicator is now going into Beta - it's a new gadget in Rooms 2 that allows creators to create copies of another Target Object in the scene. A Replicator can be configured to set its Target Object as well as its maximum copies, and then can Spawn and Return those objects during gameplay.
Rooms lets you create interactive, 3D rooms. Every thing is editable and scriptable. Rooms 2.0 features include faster loading for larger rooms, room categories, an Explore page, badges, a new honeycomb view, an activity feed, and more.
