First, download and install the appropriate USB drivers. For Mac OS and Windows 8.1, drivers can be found on the TD-17's downloads page here: https://www.roland.com/global/products/td-17/downloads/. Installation instructions are included within the download.

Go to the above github, hit releases, download the plugin, throw it into your `/Library/Audio/MIDI Devices` folder and restart the machine. It should show up in your Audio MIDI Devices profile as "Roland V-Synth" and become a selectable MIDI I/O for your DAW.
Roland stopped maintaining the macOS drivers for the original UM-ONE and the last release is for macOS Sierra (2016!). Are having trouble making yours work on newer macOS versions? This driver can help you.
