So if I was to buy a new TV today, I'd stick with TCL for now, then see how the Roku TV's fare in comparison over the next few years. Never get a TV for its onboard streaming. I have had the 55" TCL Series 6 for about two years now, and for the price, I have no regrets. Or get a better TCL.
So they just want a 40-43" TV that looks decent and they don't need all the bells and whistles of a high end TV. They have no interest in any size bigger than that. Based on what I researched on my end and looking through rtings' reviews, it seems like the Roku Select Series is the best for them.
