A pink-and-white Rococo manor in the middle of Old Town Square, Kinsky Palace — Palác Kinských in Czech — is one of Prague’s most famous buildings. Once the home of a noble count, the ornate structure is linked to a pair of prized Czech writers.
Pałac Kinskich w Pradze, także pałac Goltz-Kinskich — rokokowy pałac na rynku Starego Miasta w Pradze. Pałac został wybudowany w latach 1755–1765 dla hrabiego Jana Ernesta Goltza, zapewne według projektu Anselmo Lurago. Sztukaterie na fasadzie wykonał C. G. Bossi.
Kinsky Palace or Palác Kinských is perhaps the most beautiful Rococo building of this city. It was completed in 1765. It was originally named The Goltz after it's owner Count Goltz. In 1768 the palace became the home of Štěpán Kinský who was an Imperial diplomat. It has a Rococo facade and a Baroque building.
Kinský Palace was built in 1755–1765 on the site of three houses with early medieval foundations. The southernmost building, first recorded in 1363, was preceded by a 12th-century Romanesque structure, whose ground floor, constructed of ashlar masonry, is still preserved in the palace’s cellars.
The late-baroque Kinský Palace sports Prague’s finest rococo facade, completed in 1765 by the redoubtable Kilian Dientzenhofer. Today the palace is home to a branch of the National Gallery that hosts temporary exhibitions, usually of Czech art.
An 18th century fine rococo building with an overstated exterior design that includes colorful paints and various statues. Inside you will find here a nice museum that holds a decent collection of prints and drawings which are part of the National Gallery collection.
