The Drag-and-Drop Archive (also known as Gillian's Modpack) is a complete ready-to-play modpack for the best singleplayer-only GTA IV campaign experience. All you have to do to install it is just drop the files into the game folder and do a few extras - thus the name. Make sure the prerequisites are met and preparation was done.
OpenIV is a powerful tool for modifying, creating and extracting internal files. It can be used to create .img and .rpf files, which can be useful for modloading or mod creation. You may also, very rarely, come across mods packaged in .oiv - this tool allows you to install them as well.
There's many resources out there but due to all these different versions of the game, tools and patches it gets quite messy. So for my first GTA 4 modding experience, this has been so vital. I really like how you don't push your own preference but offer options and different views.
hi a bit late but I have complete edition, and I was wondering if after I download the necessary things, will mods that are meant for GTA IV only (so not TBOGT OR TLAD) be compatible? (for example mods that add new structures or buildings into the game or map changes, performance fixes etc.)
