The park is located between the gulf (Aransas Bay) and a small saltwater inlet on the bayside. Bird watching was good there a few years ago but no more except for sandpipers and seagulls. This is the best beach in Rockport. The beach is open 7 days a week, Sunday through Monday 6am-11pm and Friday through Saturday 6am-12pm.
This is a great walking beach, probably about a mile long. The beach is clean with numerous palapas planted on the beach, and several covered picnic tables in the grassy area behind the small dunes. The water is usually clear, flat, and great for floating.

6 sie 2023 · Rockport beach is easy to access, there is a free parking area or you can pay to drive down the beach a ways (on a paved road). It was kinda small and close to the highway which takes away from the ambience, but it was a nice well maintained beach.
