RLCS 2022-23 is the twelfth season of the Rocket League Championship Series. This season is a follow-up from the inaugural annual circuit with region expansions and international majors that occured in RLCS 2021-22. 3 splits - Fall, Winter, Spring - each have 3 regional events leading into an international major.

The RLCS Fall Major format will mirror the RLCS Fall Split format, which means it's a 16-team Swiss Stage that feeds into an eight-team Single-Elimination Bracket. Win three times in the Swiss Stage and move on.

Here's a refresher on how the Fall Split Regional Events will work: Each Regional Event will feature a 32-team Swiss-style format. Three wins and you advance, three losses and you're knocked out. Think of it as a triple-elimination format. Teams will be split into two groups of 16 and will play out a Swiss format within their group
So the format of this year and onwards: the year consists of 3 'splits' and concludes with 1 world championship (instead of 2 a year like before). Each split consists of 3 regional tournaments for EU and NA and concludes with a major tournament.
