It has the elements of roguelike and roguelite games because you are not expected to win, given the progressively increasing difficulty of the game.
Make sure to plan ahead of time what you will craft and what your team will require to survive. Since you have six slots you can gather items and scrap a lot in the early stages of the game use that to your advantage.
