This Part establishes the New York State Fee Dispute Resolution Program, which provides for the informal and expeditious resolution of fee disputes between attorneys and clients through arbitration and mediation.
You must renew your registration every 3 years to continue to practice as an RN in New York State. You are not legally allowed to practice as an RN while your registration is expired. The fee for licensure and first registration is $143. Fees are subject to change. The fee due is the one in law when your application is received.

Local programs may provide fee dispute resolution services under Part 137 only if they have been duly approved to do so by the Board.
Arbitration is mandatory whenever an attorney and their client cannot agree on the fee, or whenever the client requests arbitration. The arbitration award is final and binding unless de novo review is sought under the rule.
