I got 5 barrows dye, 3 shadow dye, 9 ice dye, 1 third age dye and 2 Druidic Wreath in 14,763 rolls on the elite clue table. This brings the average value of an elite clue (before rerolls) up to 1.49m, with a huge standard deviation of 37m.
I've come to the point where I've memorized nearly every possible hard clue so it's no longer necessary for me to use it for anything but puzzles. It's extremely helpful as you can do a puzzle in ~20 seconds or so.
