The Hi-nu is the best RG they've made and the MG, while still very good, left me wanting. Now, speaking purely subjectively, I also think the RG version of the design looks a lot better, both in color and proportion, and the new funnels are especially gorgeous (and much easier to get to look right).

The Real Grade Hi-Nu brings all of these details and pairs them with impressive machinery underneath the cover, where the armor can be lifted/opened to reveal parts of the cockpit, shoulders and calves or a functional cockpit door. Furthermore, details such as a retractable machine gun on the right hand or even hiding beam sabers on its wings!
This kit definitely started a new era where RG seems to be the best and most consistent line! don't imagine many predicted that before 2017.
