17 lip 2005 · While not all Bluegrassers use gut strings, the majority probably do. The gut string sound is especially appropriate for Bluegrass. The tone is thick and punchy and they're great for slapping too. I'd recommend a set of Efrano, Lenzner or LaBella guts.

18 kwi 2010 · The bass was played previously by a jazz player, so the adjustable bridge is at it's lowest setting. What should I do to set this bass up for bluegrass? I know I should raise the bridge height, but how much, and what is the proper way to do so?
